The Senators have filled their other goaltending vacancy by re-signing Brian Elliot to a new deal. Elliot agreed to a new 2-year deal on Tuesday, signing on to likely back-up Pascal Leclaire, who the Sens acquired at the trade deadline last season. The financial and cap terms of the deal were not disclosed, but they are not likely going to be too high, as the Sens don't currently have a lot of cap space to work with at the moment.
Elliot earned 16 wins and 1 shutout for 34 points in the pool last season, which was 34th among all NHL goalies. Playing as a back-up in 2010, his numbers won't likely be too high, barring any injury to Leclaire.
