Fisher Extends His Stay

Today, Mike Fisher signed a 5-year, $21 million contract extension with the Senators, which will keep him in the line-up for a lot longer past this season. He was eligible for Unrestricted Free Agency at the end of the season, but the Senators did their best to squash that idea. Since Fisher isn't European, you really shouldn't have to wonder about Fisher not having a 'contract year.' The Hockey News is predicting that Fisher will score 50 points this season, which would more than likely make him a pretty high draft pick for your pool.
