Blues Cut A Few More

The Blues did a little bit more roster cutting on Monday, including a few players who were thought to be on the inside looking out at those in the cold. Rather, they're on the way out and will have to work their way back into the line-up from Peoria.

Brendan Bell (who was on the theoretical roster), Steve Wagner and Hannu Toivonen were all sent packing today for the AHL. Traverse City Rookie Tourney player, Aaron Palushaj, was also among that group of players sent down.

These moves now leave 30 players in camp, leaving seven more cuts to be made to the roster before it's ready. I'm getting closer and closer to finally putting Alex Pietrangelo on the list, but we'll wait until another set of cuts before I get that brave. Pietrangelo is one of the highest-rated prospects in the league and will likely fare well with a young Blues team. I have put a point value on his name already and I suggest that you do as well.

A full team update will come once the roster gets pared down just a little bit more.
