Saturday Night's Sheet Scratches

The Blue Jackets are starting to become a little bit thin on their roster, as Box 7 forward, Fredrik Modin and Box 10 defenseman, Fedor Tyutin were both out of the line-up, with some minor bumps and bruises. Modin sat out with a bruised foot and Tyutin was not able to go because of a sore knee. It doesn't sound like either player will be out for very long, but they will remain without Mike Commodore for a while longer, as he was placed on the Injured Reserve with his hip/charley horse injury.

After missing nearly a month, Tomas Holmstrom was only playing in his third game back from injury before leaving yesterday's game against the Kings with a leg injury. The Box 6 forward had company in the infirmary yesterday, as non-pool players, Patrick Eaves & Drew Miller were both injured in the game as well. All three players are not expected to be out of the line-up for long.

If you were to ask a lot of Canucks fans, this move was definitely a long time coming. The Canucks decided to scratch Box 7 forward, Steve Bernier, on Saturday afternoon in Boston, because of some poor performances leading up to that game. The Canucks managed to sneak a win out of Beantown, so there's a good chance that Bernier may sit another game.
