Fractured Ankle Sidelines Horvat

The Vancouver Canucks will be without one of their top line forwards for the foreseeable future, as Bo Horvat suffered a fractured ankle on Tuesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes and it sounds like he'll be out of action for a few weeks, at the very least.  The Canucks placed the number one centre on the Injured Reserve on Thursday, calling up Michael Chaput to take his spot in the lineup.

It is likely that Horvat won't be back in the Canucks lineup until the New Year, which means that his offensive production of 20 points in 28 games will be coming out and will be tough to replace.  Horvat currently ranks 92nd in pool scoring, but will certainly fall in his absence from active duty.

For Cam, this is a pretty significant blow, as his team has been hovering around the middle of the pack for the last six weeks and the gap between 1st place and his team is now 40 points.  Without Horvat for a number of weeks, the gap will surely increase and almost put him out of reach, unless he sees an increase in production from the rest of his team.
