Goalie Announcements (Feb 10)

To be honest, I'm a little surprised I've come this far in a blog post, but here it is!  Last night's celebrations may have gotten the best of me, but I might still have a goalie post for us all yet.

Jake Allen (Steve) versus Juuse Saros (Eric)
We know it's Allen verus Saros today in Nashville, giving Steve and Eric a start today.  Both pool teams are well clear of the basement, so there's no worries there, but neither are in the mix for the Mover & Shaker.

Jonathan Bernier (N/A) versus Collin Delia (Derek B.)
Afternoon match-up in Chicago sees the Red Wings take on the Blackhawks and we're working on assumptions early on today.  Assumptions which sees only one pool goalie in this one, as Derek B.'s team has taken the rookie pool by storm and will get a rookie start today, in theory, with Collin Delia of the Blackhawks.  It hasn't been confirmed at this point, but seems likely.

Philipp Grubauer (Jesse) versus Jaroslav Halak (Stacey M.)
This could have been an all-Jesse match-up today, but the Bruins did confirm that they will use the second half of their platoon for this game against the Avalanche, giving Stacey M. another start this week.  Stacey's team is only 4 points back of the Mover & Shaker at the start of play today, so that makes it a race, at least.  The Avalanche haven't confirmed their goalie, but it seems very likely that Grubauer will go.

Connor Hellebuyck (Jeremy) versus Carter Hutton (Wes)
Nothing confirmed for the Jets and Sabres this afternoon, but bot teams did play yesterday, so we're throwing out the goalies that didn't go for either team in this match-up.  Both Jeremy and Wes are in the top half of the weekly standings and are more than willing to take on 2 more points.

Curtis McElhinney (N/A) versus Keith Kinkaid (Neil)
Keith Kinkaid has been confirmed for the Devils today, which is good for Neil's team, sitting at 26 points this week, 9 points back of the weekly lead.  Kinkaid is the only pool goalie expected for this game, as the Hurricanes projected keeper was dropped for a number one guy in Toronto last week.

Alex Stalock (Ryan) versus Thomas Greiss (Stuart)
The Wild didn't take my advice and started their number one against the lowly Devils yesterday, so that should leave Alex Stalock for the Islanders, also in theory.  Unconfirmed.  The Islanders went with Robin Lehner yesterday, as expected, so they should turn around and start Thomas Greiss, giving Stuart a start, but both of these teams have been known to surprise, even on quick turnarounds.

Louis Domingue (Eric) versus James Reimer (Dale C.)
The Sunshine State has a storm a brewin' between the Lightning and the Panthers, both teams having played last night should be playing their other goalies in the back-to-back situation.  Neither team has confirmed this early in the day, so we're rolling with it.  Both Eric and Dale are in the top half of the weekly scoring numbers, so that's a story worth following to the end of the week.

Garret Sparks (Grant) versus Alexandar Georgiev (N/A)
The Rangers have confirmed their number two today, which is not surprising, but what is surprising is that no one took a flyer on him at the Waiver Draft, given that he has put up some solid minutes this season.  With the Leafs playing last night, it seems fair that Grant should get a start out of Garret Sparks, but that has yet to be confirmed today.
