It appears that the Tampa Bay Lightning will be without Mattias Ohlund to start the season, as he is dealing with some inflammation in his right knee, which has flared up during training camp. The inflammation and swelling is said to not be related to some off-season surgery, but another problem altogether.
His listing on the injury lists online say that he will be out indefinitely, but the article says that he hopes to be ready in a couple of weeks.
Ohlund's only value at the moment is as a part of the selection sheet pool, where he occupies the Lightning's last defenseman spot in Box 30. In that box, he doesn't look too bad as a veteran player looking to make good this season, but he has fallen down in the depth charts offensively, likely trying to be that solid defensive defenseman more often than not. Might be a good time to avoid him now, since he will be missing some time.
