Wolski Scratched?

I haven't seen anything to tell me otherwise, but it looked like the Coyotes had made Wojtek Wolski into a healthy scratch on Thursday night, when they took on the Red Wings in Detroit. Wolski was listed as one of the scratches and didn't play, but I haven't seen anything to suggest it was because of an injury.

Wolski hasn't been as dominant in the early part of the season, like he was after first arriving with the team at the trade deadline. He has only registered 4 assists in the first eight games and has not been shooting very much (3 shots in his last three games). Maybe a scratch was something that he needed to pick his game up again.

The Coyotes will next play on Saturday night, at home to the Lightning.  I would have to believe that Wolski would be in the line-up for that one, unless something that hasn't been disclosed comes up again.

ImplicationsI don't think the ramifications of this news byte is too significant, other than missing out on one game for Neil and his draft team.  Neil goes into Friday's action in 3rd place in the standings and he doesn't have too many skater games left this week, so he'll need Wolski to be in the line-up and be productive, if Neil is going to stay up high.
