2015 Draft Class Signings (July 8)
The next pick to get signed up to an entry-level deal with the 9th overall pick, forward Timo Meier, who was selected by the San Jose Sharks. Meier earned some rave reviews from the scouts around the league, thought to be a good-sized winger with an NHL shot, something that could certainly play well on a San Jose team that has some talented players that could find a guy ready to unleash a heavy shot.
With the way the Sharks are shaping up in this off-season, there is a fine chance that Meier could find a spot in this lineup, providing another youthful scoring touch, possibly not unlike Tomas Hertl. The biggest concern for the Sharks is still their defense, but that might come around as well.
