Doughty Suspended for Game 2
Well, if Game 1 showed the Los Angeles Kings anything, it was that this opening round series against the Vegas Golden Knights was going to be anything but easy. Things got a whole lot harder for Game 2, which also goes at the T-Mobile Arena, as the Kings will be without their superstar defenseman Drew Doughty, as he was suspended for one game for his high hit on William Carrier on Wednesday night.
The video below gives you a very thorough explanation of the play and the reason for supplemental discipline, just in case you were wondering.
Doughty and the Kings were shutout in Game 1, so no points in one game played, but you know the veteran defender is a key piece of the puzzle, when he is playing over 28 minutes in Game 1 and the team is already without defenseman Jake Muzzin, due to injury.
Doughty was taken twice out of 23 hockey pool teams, so someone is definitely going to miss him on Friday night.
