Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey will now miss Game 5 of the series between the Jets and Wild on Friday, due to a suspension, rendered from a play on Tuesday night, where he cross-checked Eric Staal in the head/neck area.Morrissey, taken twice in the playoff hockey pool, has been a solid member of the Winnipeg blueline, as they have worked their way to a 3-1 series lead against the Wild. He has been eating a lot of key minutes for the team and he has 1 assist in the first four games of the series as well.
Now that we're moving into the elimination portions of the playoffs, we'll start having some longer looks in the standings. Saying that, of Morrissey's two teams that he is a part of in the standings, Brenda's 3rd place team is one of them, but with his current point production, it's hard to really say whether or not he'll be missed.
