Goalie Announcements (Apr 16)
The four games a night schedule continues on tonight, as the Monday schedule has four key Game 3s, all of which could put one team on the verge of elimination. Three of those teams are playing at home, while the fourth... well, isn't.
Tuukka Rask versus Frederik Andersen
No changes in Toronto tonight, even though Frederik Andersen was yanked in Game 2, I don't think the Maple Leafs could gamble on going with Curtis McElhinney, when they need to get back into this series with a win. The Maple Leafs will hope that their fans can make the visit for Tuukka Rask unpleasant, at best.
Andrei Vasilevskiy versus Cory Schneider
As expected, the New Jersey Devils are going to try and salvage their series at home, starting with Game 3 and Cory Schneider in net tonight. The Devils couldn't escape Tampa Bay with a win, so their climb back into the series tonight. Andrei Vasilevskiy gets the nod again, as the Lightning have their first chance to put the Devils behind the 8-ball in this series.
Pekka Rinne versus Jonathan Bernier
No changes expected for when the Avalanche play host to the Predators, down 2-0 in the series. With no Semyon Varlamov available to the Avalanche, it's back to Jonathan Bernier and of course, it will be Pekka Rinne at the other end. Rinne was a pretty popular selection in the pool and I'm sure most of his holders would like a quick finish to this series.
John Gibson versus Martin Jones
The Ducks are going into a hostile environment, the Shark Tank, down 2-0 in their series against San Jose, and we don't exactly know who will go for them tonight. It is expected that John Gibson will get the start, but with dire straits happening now for the Ducks, I don't think we could be terribly surprised to see Ryan Miller in their net, but that's just guessing here and now. With Martin Jones going 2-0-0 in this series, it's very obvious that he'll go again.
