Sheet Player Updates (Oct. 29)

The Minneosta Wild are expecting to see the return of Guillaume Latendresse on Saturday night, as they take on the Detroit Red Wings at home. Latendresse is penciled in to skate on the top line with Dany Heatley and Mikko Koivu, which will likely excite the number of teams that have taken the winger in the sheet pool this season. Latendresse has been dealing with a groin problem this season and has now been given the green light to go again.

Box 32 goaltender Alex Auld will not be backing up his starting goalie tonight in New York, as the Senators take on the Rangers at Madison Square Garden in the afternoon. Auld suffered an undisclosed injury in practice and the team has called up Robin Lehner to take on the back-up job for today. There is no word on the severity of the injury, but Auld wasn't that popular in the pool, so I don't think many are worried.

An update has been provided on Box 13 defenseman Michal Rozsival, as the Czech defenseman has not been skating since he suffered his facial injury on opening night of the season.  Rozsival took a puck to the face and it now appears that the injury is far more significant than anything really cosmetic.  Although there is no suggestion of it, it's hard not to think that a concussion may be involved, as we have seen a number of incidents in the past that have involved only a puck to the head area and a concussion occurred.
