Pens Prepare for the Return of Staal

Yes, with players still coming out of the Pittsburgh Penguins line-up, there are some actually coming back. The Penguins will play host to the Jets on Saturday afternoon and they will have Jordan Staal back in their line-up, as the team activated the centre from the Injured Reserve and he should be playing in his first game in over a month.

Staal has been out with a knee injury for the last month, which has dropped his pool scoring ranking down from 179th to 255th, which is a pretty good drop, but if he can continue on his scoring pace of 21 points in 34 games this season, he might be able to recover some of those positions.

ImplicationsIt's way too late for Wes' team, which is finally starting to get healthy again, but any gains will likely be just for pride, although a third segment prize may not be out of the question, especially Andrei Markov can return from his injury.  He will need all the help he can get, because he sits at the bottom of the weekly scoring race for the first week in the third segment, but there is still plenty of hockey to be played.
