Sheet Player News (Feb. 5)

Things don't appear to be too rosy in Montreal these days, as they are still struggling to find a playoff spot and a roster to help them win games on a more consistent basis. With that being said, Box 29 defenseman Yannick Weber was a healthy scratch yet again this season, sitting out against the Capitals on Saturday afternoon. With the loss to the Caps, I would imagine that Weber may draw back into the line-up on Sunday afternoon, when they take on the Jets at home.  Weber has 14 points in 41 games this year, so I have my doubts that his demotions to the press box have much to do with his scoring, as it has been okay, rather his overall game may need some shoring up.

Well, seeing as though he isn't a drafted player yet, I thought I would give Christopher Higgins a quick recap of what he's been dealing with before the week starts. Higgins has been dealing with a pretty serious bout of the flu, which likely stems from his immune system not being able to deal after some antibiotics for a couple of staph infections.  Higgins is not currently with the team on their 4-game road trip and there doesn't appear to be any plans to have him fly out and meet the team at the moment, so he may have to re-join the line-up when they return home.  Higgins has had a pretty good season, scoring 10 goals and 16 assists in 45 games and has been taken in the waiver draft.
