Sheet Player News (Feb. 8)

Box 12 defenseman Steve Montador reportedly suffered an upper-body injury in the Blackhawks' game against the Avalanche on Tuesday night. There was no immediate update on the defenseman's condition after the match, but there should be a more significant report on Wednesday.  Montador has not had a great season in Chicago, with only 14 points in 51 games, he had already been dropped from the draft and his fantasy value has been sinking quite quickly.  An injury may be the iceberg that would officially sink the veteran defender for good this season.

A couple of healthy players returned to the Tampa Bay Lightning line-up on Tuesday night, which meant a couple of players had to come out of the line-up. Box 24 forward Brett Connolly came out for Adam Hall and Box 30 defenseman Matt Gilroy came out for Marc-Andre Bergeron. Both young players coming out of the line-up were pretty easy picks, as they haven't had the best of seasons to date and the Lightning are now getting to a point in the season where they need some real consistent production and veteran leadership to help get them to a division title, if they are going to make the playoffs at all.
