Player Notes in the Playoffs (Apr 14)

The Montreal Canadiens open up their playoff series against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night and there is no guarantee that Box 1 forward Max Pacioretty will be ready to go, as his injury, presumed to be a concussion, may hinder his return.  As per the coaching staff on Tuesday, Pacioretty has been cleared for contact in practice, but has not been cleared for game action.  He'll be on the list as out day-to-day and if you haven't submitted your sheet and think that Montreal is going all the way, you may want to think twice about their leading scorer.

The New York Rangers updated the schedules of their players on the shelf, as Rick Nash and Marc Staal were on the ice for practice on Tuesday, but Box 23 defenseman Kevin Klein has still yet to take the ice from his injury. The Rangers don't kick off their playoff season until Thursday night, so there is still time for Klein to be healthy for the start, but we may be a little hesitant to suggest that Klein is a good idea in that box right now.  It does sound like he'll play at some point, we just don't exactly know when.
