Player Notes in the Playoffs (Apr 23)

This could very well be the last night of these playoffs where we have four games in a night, as we have a couple more teams behind the 8-ball tonight and we'll load up the starting goalie talk with those two games.

We'll start in Nashville, as the Predators are sitting in behind to start the night against the Blackhawks.  They will be at home, which has to help them a little bit and as expected, they will be turning back to Pekka Rinne to help them out of their predicament.  On the Blackhawks side of the ledger, I would expect that they will continue to run with the hot hand in Scott Darling, although I have yet to see confirmation of that.

The Canucks will turn to their regular season number one tonight, as Ryan Miller, who made his playoffs debut in the Game 4 loss in relief, will make his first start in these playoffs tonight.  Miller wasn't taken in the pool, due to the chance that Eddie Lack would get the better of the reps.  The Flames have no problem with their starting goalie so far, as Jonas Hiller will take to the net once again and try to propel his side into the next round.

No changes in the starting goalies for the other two series tonight, as Petr Mrazek will take on Ben Bishop in Game 4 of the Red Wings/Lightning series, which sits at 2-1 Detroit, and it will be Braden Holtby against Jaroslav Halak in the deadlocked at two series between the Capitals and Islanders.  Game 5 goes tonight in Washington.
