The Blackhawks announced on Wednesday that they had signed their first round pick in 2008,
Kyle Beach, to a 3-year entry-level deal. Beach, a 6'3", 205 lbs. forward, is known for having some pretty good hands, but is most notable for his mean streak and size. There is a good chance that Beach will leave the junior ranks to play with the pros at some level, likely making a trip to the AHL to help him get used to playing with men. He could turn out to be one to watch in 2011, once he has his feet wet.
