Thrashers Re-Sign Reasoner

The Thrashers announced on Monday that they have re-signed Marty Reasoner to a new 2-year deal, keeping him away from unrestricted free agency in July. Reasoner was signed by the Thrashers as a UFA last July, coming out of the Edmonton organization. Reasoner finished with only 30 points in 79 GP in 2009, but he does come with plenty of defensive upside, especially on a young team like the Thrashers. His defensive prowess is something that would be considered an asset to the goaltending, especially for fantasy points. It would need to be a rather deep pool for him to be picked up though, finishing with only 30 points.
