Do you need some penalty minutes for your fantasy team next season? Well, Mike Brown of the Ducks just re-signed on Monday to a 2-year deal, which will be a cap hit of about $538,000 per season.
Brown, 24, led all Ducks players in 2009 with 145 minutes in penalties last season, playing in only 47 games in the season. He also registered 2 goals and 2 assists in those games as well. In the second half of the season, he became a regular fixture in the Ducks' line-up after being traded from Vancouver around the trade deadline.
If Brown can get himself a full 82-game season under his belt, he should be in the 200+ PIM range, making him a great goon for your pool. He certainly does have the ability to rack up the minutes and give some really good minutes on the ice.
