The Anaheim Ducks finally updated the status of their hurt superstar, Corey Perry, who missed this past weekend's action with a lower-body injury. As expected by many, the injury is a sprained knee and the club now expects him to miss the next 3-to-4 weeks with the hurting joint. He was placed on the Injured Reserve on Sunday, in full anticipation that he would likely be out for more than a week.
After the weekend's action, Perry now ranks 52nd in pool scoring with 14 goals and 8 assists in 23 games, scoring just under a point-per-game.
It's likely going to be a hairy stretch for Dale C., who is holding onto the 3rd place spot, now 7 points up on 4th place, going into Tuesday's action. Perry is his 1st round pick this year and in that month, he'll likely be missing out on at least 7 points, which makes it seem likely that he'll drop back to the crowd that chases him, possibly even dropping below.
