Player Notes in the Playoffs (June 15)
By far, one of the coolest pictures ever, taken from the Hall of Fame's keeper of the Cup, Phil Pritchard, taken from his Twitter account. The Cup is on its way to Chicago, as we're almost ready for the first game where it could be handed out. How about some injury notes... or lack there of?
The Tampa Bay Lightning are on the verge of being known as the 2015 Stanley Cup finalist or an Eastern Conference champion for the year, as they head into Game 6 and there are plenty of question marks about how they'll line up against the Blackhawks.
Tampa forward Nikita Kucherov, who left Game 5 with an undisclosed injury, is listed as questionable for tonight's Game 6, of course, with no official update. First thing in the morning, Kucherov was on the ice for the morning skate, which was the first positive sign for the team, next up was the morning press conferences with the coaches. The presser was good for Kucherov, as his status was upgraded to probable and it would seem very likely that he is in for the Bolts.
Kucherov's injury does have some difference in the hockey pool, as Jesse, who sits in 2nd place, has the 22-year old Russian and his availability could be a tipping point for how this game plays out and what the results are in the pool.
An updated list of injuries can be found here.
