Morning Player Notes (Feb 12)

Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta was forced from last night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers with an upper-body injury after taking a hard hit in the 1st period.  He left the game, not to return and the coaching staff said that he would be reevaluated at some point on Tuesday.  The Penguins are at home to the Oilers on Wednesday night, so we should probably know more about the injury or at least whether or not it's more than a day-to-day issue.  If there is any significant time to be missed, it'll be noted here.

Scott's team just can't catch a break this season.  His team got off to a good start to the week last night with 6 points, but not without a cost, I guess.  Maatta has 13 points in 55 games this season, not exactly scoring at a great clip, but it's just the fact that it's another injury on the books, which is disheartening.
