Bolts Sit Ranger

An injury concern for the Bolts, as they will be resting defenseman Paul Ranger through training camp, as he is recovering from surgery to his shoulder in the off-season.  In resting Ranger now, they hope to have him ready for the opening game in Prague against the Rangers on October 4th.  This does damper his stock quite a bit, coming off a major injury and he will likely get off to a slow start to the season.  This does hurt his fantasy value a fair bit, so you may want to step around Ranger when his name comes up on your list, thanks to this injury.

The injury, if it pulls through to the regular season, could make for more ice-time for a guy like Matt Carle, who signed a brand spanking new deal with Tampa after being dealt there for Dan Boyle.
