Lightning Playing in Germany

The Lightning opened their European pre-season schedule on Sunday, as they played in Berlin, winning 4-1 over Eisbaren Berlin. The Lightning were led by veteran Gary Roberts, scoring a goal and adding an assist, while German-born Olaf Kolzig was in net for the win.  The Lightning are carrying a new looking team into the season and they do have some injury concerns before it all starts as well.  Players below in red are currently unavailable for the team, but are likely to return to the line-up soon and are considered part of the line-up.

With everyone in the line-up, the Lightning are touching the salary cap ceiling and will have to make all their necessary cuts when they come back to North America. The team won't be in any salary cap trouble, but they won't be able to make many moves at the trade deadline.

The big pool question will be about who will get the nod as the number one in the Tampa net.  If there is a true number one in Tampa, he could be a good source of points for your fantasy team.  Keep an eye on that situation.
