The new faces and old favourites could be a good blend for battle in the Northwest Division and could be a good spot to pick from for your fantasy team. In my draft last night, nine Flames were taken, including Curtis Glencross, who does have sleeper potential.
|Jarome Iginla||Dion Phaneuf||Miikka Kiprusoff|
|Daymond Langkow||Adrian Aucoin||Curtis McElhinney|
|Mike Cammalleri||Robyn Regehr|
|Todd Bertuzzi||Jim Vandermeer|
|Matthew Lombardi||Cory Sarich|
|Craig Conroy||Rhett Warrener|
|Curtis Glencross||Mark Giordano|
|Rene Bourque||Adam Pardy|
The roster being set gives us a final number for the Flames for their salary cap concerns. The 22-man roster, plus the inclusion of Warrener (who doesn't count today because of being on the IR), the Flames are sitting at $56.8 million, which is only an approximate value, and only $100,000 over the limit. The likelihood is that the team will try and move Warrener in the near future, but as he doesn't count, the team doesn't have much to worry about at the moment.
