Morrow Done For The Year

The Dallas Stars have had a crushing blow dealt to them over the last 24 hours. It looks as though Brendan Morrow's season is done, as he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the Stars' game against Chicago on Thursday night. With losing the captain in the same game as losing to Chicago, you must think that the Stars are going to be crushed and their spirits are going to be down into the weekend. Morrow is a big emotional leader on Dallas and they've had a hard time winning as it has been.

Morrow will now have his season stats halt at 15 points (5G, 10A) in 18 games in the 2009 season and the Stars say he'll be back to normal for a full season in 2010. That doesn't help the Pacific Division basement dwellers now, so the team will have to rally around their loss.

This loss comes at a mildly opportune time for Marcus, who has him in the Draft, as we're only a couple days away from the Waiver Draft and just over a week before the moves go live. This does change the mock draft, published below a little, as Marcus will want to make sure he removes the injured players, rather than the cold players.
