Thursday's Scratches

The Blackhawks scratched forward/defenseman Dustin Byfuglien against the Stars on Thursday night, likely in part to his production this season. Byfuglien has only registered 6 points (2G, 4A) in 17 games this season on a team that has been quite gifted offensively this year. Byfuglien, a Draft pick of Chris', has seemingly failed to continue his hot streak of scoring that he finished last season with.

It was a return to the press box for Mathieu Dandenault on Thursday night. The oft-scratched Dandenault has played in 12 games for the Habs, only registering a single assist. It's going to be a lot of back-and-forth for the Habs, who have been doing a lot of line-shuffling during a bit of a slumping period. Dandenault does not have much for fantasy value for this season.

Thanks to a spot of the flu, Sami Salo was scratched from the line-up against the Wild on Thursday. Salo, a Draft pick of Clayton's, likely caught whatever kept Alexander Edler out of the line-up for a couple games, but likely not as severe. It was said that Willie Mitchell had a touch of the same bug, but was still able to play in the 3-2 win.
