Injury news in Atlanta: Mathieu Schneider has suffered a hip flexor injury, which will reportedly keep him out of the Thrashers' line-up for a few games. Schneider missed Thursday night's tilt against the Islanders and will likely miss the weekend's action as well.Schneider is a Draft pick of Derek's, who's already missed out on a good number of games due to player injury, and is also a Box 12 defenseman, who did receive a good number of selections. His work in Atlanta hasn't been terribly dominating, having only 4 points in 12 games for the Southeast Division team.
This isn't a time to panic yet for Schneider owners, but you may want to have another look at Box 12 and see if there isn't anyone a little bit better.
