Goalie Announcements (Apr 1)

So, Benson came up to tie Troy at 36 points in the Mover & Shaker race on Saturday, but neither will have any goaltending help today to help pull themselves away from each other. Outside of the crease, Troy leads 5-3 over Benson in projected games to be played.

Chris and Stacey M. are next in line, both 4 points back of our leaders and there, we might have something.

Philipp Grubauer (Grant) versus Matt Murray (Stacey M.)
If there is going to be a start for Stacey M., because there are none for Chris, it would be in this game, but it would mean that Matt Murray would be playing on back-to-back days.  The Penguins are aiming for top spot in the Metropolitan Division and they would likely need their number one to do so.  The early indications were that Philipp Grubauer would get the nod for the Caps this evening, helping Braden Holtby catch his breath before the playoffs.  Either way, Grant gets a start.

And if we're really struggling for teams, Clayton, Brenda & Seward and Dale C. are all at 30 points this week, 6 points back of the Mover & Shaker and only two of the three teams there have possible starts.

Anton Khudobin (Eric) versus Petr Mrazek (Mike)
Clayton's possible start would be from the Bruins, but since they played with his starter yesterday, Anton Khudobin gets the nod against the Flyers, who will be running with Petr Mrazek again.  It's Eric versus Mike in this game, the two teams separated by only 2 points in the weekly race, but down closer to the bottom, as Mike leads 22-20 this week.

Cory Schneider (Jeremy) versus Carey Price (Dale C.)
Dale C. indeed gets a start from Montreal, as Carey Price has been given the nod for the Canadiens with the New Jersey Devils in town.  The Devils, on the other hand, were not going to reveal their starter yesterday, despite back-to-back games, yesterday and today, but one may lean to Cory Schneider finally getting the call, but Keith Kinkaid has played a couple of back-to-backs already, as the Devils are really pushing for a playoff spot.
