Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Apr 7)

The St. Louis Blues were one of a handful of teams that will be playing on back-to-back nights on the final Saturday of the year, so they decided, for the first half of the schedule, they'd give their number one goalie the whole night off, not even getting Jake Allen to dress for the game against the Blackhawks. The move didn't set the team back any, as they were able to pull out a 4-1 win and then they will turnaround and play the Avalanche for a game that will decide their playoff fate.  How exciting!

So, I wouldn't consider this much of a missed start for Cam, as he is getting it tonight.  His team will open up the last Saturday of the season in 16th place, only 8 points back of 13th, the equator.

Bobby Ryan of the Senators indeed didn't miss any time from the lower-body injury that he suffered on Wednesday night, jumping back into the lineup for the 4-0 loss to the Penguins on Friday night.  Obviously, being shut out meant that Stacey C. wasn't getting any points from his healthy forward.
