Goalie Announcements (Apr 3)

Well, Benson's team went in the right direction to help itself stay in the money, finishing with 6 points on Monday night and increasing his lead over Dale B.'s team to 9 points. It's not 100% safe, but it's looking safer than it was 24 hours ago. Clayton's team only gained a point on Dale's on the night, as there wasn't much in the way of points from 3rd to 5th, as the starts for Clayton and Tony didn't generate any wins.

Tony's team might be looking in the rear view mirror now, as both Chris' team and Brenda & Seward's team each had 7 points and closing the gap a bit there too.  Not enough that they'll be included, but another big night and you never know.

Benson's team doesn't have any potential starts tonight, so now is the time for the rest of the teams to try and help their own causes and catch up, using the crease as a good position to start from.

Petr Mrazek (Mike) versus Thomas Greiss (Dale B.)
Dale B. will get the first of his two starts tonight in Brooklyn, where the Islanders are looking to spoil the playoff party for the Flyers tonight, sending Thomas Greiss back to the crease.  The Flyers have the potential to clinch their spot tonight with a win and they have been leaning heavily on Petr Mrazek, since acquiring him from the Red Wings before the deadline.  This could be the headline game of the night.

Pekka Rinne (Dale B.) versus James Reimer (Troy)
The Nashville Predators are also in a key clinching situation, as they could clinch the Western Conference title with a win in Florida tonight and there's no better guy to send to the crease than Pekka Rinne, as he has been one of the league's best goalies this year.  Dale B. could find himself in pretty good standing, if his goalies can get the job done tonight.  The Panthers are on back-to-back nights, so it is expected that James Reimer will get the nod tonight, giving Troy a start.

Tuukka Rask (Clayton) versus Andrei Vasilevskiy (Wilton)
Clayton is chasing down Dale B. and he'll have one goalie start to help the chase, as the Bruins are in Tampa to take on the Lightning.  Tuukka Rask has matched up well against the Lightning this year and this game is a swing game for the Atlantic Division title.  The Bolts will counter with their top keeper, Andrei Vasilevskiy, to try and level things in the division standings.
