Noon Player Notes in the Draft (Dec 22)

The Ottawa Senators announced on Friday morning that forward Bobby Ryan will not be dressing tomorrow for their pre-Christmas finale against the Florida Panthers, after suffering another finger injury against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.  Ryan suffered the injury in the 1st period, tried to play through it a bit, but had to shut it down in the 3rd.  Test results were positive, as there were no breakage of any bones, but he'll need an extra day off before the break and the team will likely reevaluate ahead of their game on Wednesday in Boston.  He will be listed as day-to-day, unless informed.

The long-standing ability to have his hand injured is one of the reasons why I am shocked he hasn't been added to the Injury Prone List posts every year yet.  Well, that will have to change next summer, as Stacey C.'s forward is such a health risk, year over year.

Stacey's team is currently running just 5 points back of the Mover & Shaker nod this week, so the loss of Ryan will certainly hurt his chances, taking a key projected game off his list before the end of this week.  His team remains in 19th this week, but still could move up a spot, with the right production this weekend.
