Cormier Out With Broken Foot

A candidate for the young prospects box on the Selection Sheet, Thrashers forward Patrice Cormier has been sidelined with a broken foot and will be on the shelf for an indefinite period of time. Cormier, acquired by the Thrashers in the Kovalchuk deal, was preparing for his first camp with Atlanta when he took a slap shot off the foot in a pick-up game and suffered the injury then.  The injury will not require surgery, but he will likely be out of commission for upwards of six weeks.

It might be wise to scratch him from your pool lists for the time being.  If he can make the team midway through the year, you can at least get a look at his point production before making any further decisions about his fantasy value.
