Red Wings Injury News

Doing a little digging this afternoon for some Johan Franzen news and found out some for him and some for others.  Franzen was a victim of a knee-on-knee hit from the Penguins' Brooks Orpik and had to leave the game, but it sounds like it was just a charley horse and he should be back on the ice on the weekend.

Defenseman Derek Meech reportedly suffered a concussion in Wednesday night's game against the Penguins and that will keep the defenseman out of the line-up for at least a week, possibly some more pending more testing.  I will list Meech as out indefinitely until otherwise mentioned.

Lastly, the returning Jiri Hudler has also suffered a minor injury, taking a shot off the foot in one of the team's last scrimmages on the weekend.  Hudler has not been on the ice since the injury, but is really only waiting for the swelling and soreness to disappear and then he should be back in action.  I am considering him day-to-day.
