Esposito and Postma Cut in Atlanta

A couple of players I had my eye on in the Thrashers training camp, Angelo Esposito and Paul Postma, were both among the cuts that happened in the last couple of days, which has reportedly brought the training camp numbers down to 38, including two injured players.

Esposito, a former 1st round pick of the Penguins, has been hampered by injuries in his young career, this year being no different, suffering from hip problems.  I think the hope is that he can find his way back to 100% in the minors and get his game back to where he was when he was drafted so high.

The current injuries in camp belong to Patrice Cormier and Andrew Kozak, Cormier is out indefinitely with a broken foot, which he suffered in a scrimmage in rookie camp, while Kozak is recovering from a sports hernia.  Cormier was thought to have a good shot in this training camp, but will have to wait until his foot heals before he's considered for the line-up this year, likely with a trip to the AHL in between.
