Welcome to the 2013/2014 Draft Pool

Happy Sunday everyone!

It was a bit of a long afternoon, thanks to some technical difficulties throughout the draft, but otherwise, we have ourselves a great looking group of teams.  We have 24 teams in the pool this year, which gives us a pretty good looking prize pool to work from.

I will work out the prizing over the next couple of days, as I will likely try to get some mid-season prizing, get something special for this year, if possible.

Just some notes to consider this season... the schedule is 26 weeks long, including the Olympic Break, so we'll break it down into sections for the waiver drafts.  We will do waiver drafts at Week Eight (new players live on Week Nine) and Week Sixteen (new players live on Week Seventeen) and then we'll have a 10-week stretch at the end of the year with the last crop of new players, racing to the finish.

Don't forget... we do have a quick little waiver period for players who are hurt in the 10 days leading up to the regular season.  You can claim a replacement player, if you feel that one of your guys is no good to you to start the year.

I will be talking pool talk all season long on Twitter... follow me at @opiatedsherpa.

We have some real potential for a great year... good luck to everyone!
