The 32-year old forward played in 81 games for Toronto last season, scoring 11 goals and 43 points, good enough for 140th among all forwards in scoring. His role with the Leafs was diminishing behind some of the younger, more electric talent on the team and a deal like this wasn't going to fit with the Maple Leafs going forward.
At the time of the deal, Bozak was looking to slot in as the number two centre on the team, but of course, as we'll see later on in the blog posts to come, the Blues were out to completely revamp their side and this was just the start of it.
