The sixth player from the 2018 entry draft has put pen to paper, the fourth from the opening round of the draft. The 16th overall selection, forward Martin Kaut, signed with the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday afternoon, earning a rookie maximum in cap hit for the season at $925,000 and he'll be eligible for upwards of $425,000 in performance bonuses, if he was to take to the ice for the team in those seasons.The Avalanche will have a strong competition for spots between quite a few young players already on the roster, so it will be a tough job to earn a spot, but he does have a very good offensive upside, so he's certainly got a chance. Definitely keep an eye out for him in the fall.
