Jackets Lock Up Jenner

The Columbus Blue Jackets finished up a little bit of internal business, re-signing forward Boone Jenner to a 4-year, $15 million deal on Thursday morning.

The 25-year old winger was right at the bottom of the pool worthy conversation, ranking 200th among all forwards in 2018 with 13 goals and 32 points in 75 games with the Blue Jackets.

Jenner never really developed into the power forward that he was in his junior days, but has been fairly serviceable for Columbus in his five seasons with the team.

Columbus hasn't been overly active in this off-season, only adding small bits and pieces to their lineup, hardly making the splashes that other teams around them have been doing so far.  This has kept their budget fairly light, as they are still showing about $10.2 million left in cap space with a full 23-man roster now.
