Sounds like the rest of the preseason will be a wash for Colorado Avalanche defenseman Ryan Wilson, who has been told that he is sidelined for a couple of weeks with a knee injury. This does likely mean he'll be back for opening night, which is good news for us poolies, but you may want to consider a little bit of rust will accumulate on the shelf, especially with the rest of the team practicing and scrimmaging with the new players in the organization.
Wilson's spot is fairly secure, but I'm sure the team will likely be cautious, heading into the regular season.
An update for a player on the injury prone list, as Johan Franzen is scheduled to miss tonight's preseason game against the Blackhawks, due to a lower-body injury.
There is no exact update to this point about the injury, but when I see something like this for an injury-prone player, it really makes me wonder. I will be keeping a close eye on him, leading up to the draft.
