Player Notes in the Playoffs (Apr 26)

First, in Game 5, it was Brock Nelson, who was a scratch for the returning Mikhail Grabovski and that didn't go so well. Game 6, the Islanders decided that Box 18 forward Anders Lee would then be the guy that goes up to the press box to make room. That seemingly worked a little bit better, as the Islanders were able to force Game 7 on Saturday night.  It would be hard to argue with something that worked for the big deciding game, so it would seem fairly predictable, if Lee sat again, barring any new injuries we haven't heard about.

The pool, as a collective, is a little less happy about Lee being scratched over Nelson though, as the rookie has five selections to Nelson's one, but that's the way it goes sometimes.  Grabovski, just coming off a concussion, wasn't put on the sheet at all.

Two elimination games on Sunday, as two Game 6's are to go in both the West and the East.

The first game is in the West, as the St. Louis Blues try to stave off elimination, looking for a win against the Minnesota Wild.  The Blues will undoubtedly have to try and go through Devan Dubnyk again in Game 6 and they'll have to do it on the Wild's home turf.  The Blues have gone to the well with Jake Allen too many times not to go with him again in their last gasp game, but I have yet to see that be confirmed.

This is the early game on Sunday, a 1pm MT start, seen on Sportsnet.

In the other game, it will be the third time the Ottawa Senators fight from behind the 8-ball, now trying to force a Game 7 of their own.  It will be the two goalies that got them this far in the series, as Craig Anderson will get the nod again, playing again at home, while Carey Price gets another shot to try and close out the series.  It's been a long road for the Senators, so far, and they're only half way to getting out of this series alive.

Game 6 of this series will be seen on CBC, a 4pm MT start.

An updated list of injuries can be found here.
