Jay McClement is not the first tryout invite posted this summer, but he is the first that has garnered the interest on the blog. McClement played in 65 games last season with the Carolina Hurricanes and has just agreed to a camp tryout invite with the Pittsburgh Penguins, as he could probably sign a league minimum deal and be a pretty serviceable depth player for this club.The Penguins have a number of bubble players on their current projected roster and depending on how the camp goes, McClement could find his way through. It's somewhat doubtful that he'll be pool worthy, but it looks good on him, joining a dynamic Penguins club for training camp.
