There have been a few new names entered into the list as professional tryouts on teams, but one that really stood out was the Red Wings offering a training camp spot to veteran forward P-A Parenteau on Wednesday. Parenteau split the 2017 season between New Jersey and Nashville, also appearing in five games with the Predators in their run to the Stanley Cup Finals.
His regular season numbers were just on the fringe of being pool worthy, as the 34-year old played in 67 games, scored 13 goals and 28 points.
The Red Wings are in salary cap hell at the moment and will be struggling to fit some salaries in, but if Parenteau can somehow break through in camp, more things might have to happen in the coming days.
