The Canucks and Kings got the preseason schedule started on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, just before portions of the two teams headed for China for more preseason action across the Pacific. It was a back and forth contest, which saw an early surge from the Canucks, met by a big push past by the Kings, finished off by a late tying goal and an overtime winner from the visitors.
Just like preseason posts coming before it, this is about the multi-point players in these games, trying to push a name or two out there, finding the hot hands early. For the Canucks, rookie forward Brock Boeser had a goal and an assist, while defenseman Troy Stecher had a couple of assists in the win. The home side had a couple of notables in the loss, as Dustin Brown had a goal and an assist and Tanner Pearon had a pair of helpers too.
Let the games begin!
