The preseason isn't exactly a vacation for many players, as injuries are still going to occur with players trying to vie for jobs. Ottawa Senators youngster Colin White suffered a hand/wrist injury in last night's preseason game against the Maple Leafs, blocking a shot. There's no word on the extent of the injury, but the initial reports fear the worst.
White is certainly one of those bubble players on the Ottawa roster, a top end draft pick trying to crack the roster for a full-time gig, but if this injury is indeed significant, it might set him back another year. The Hockey News has him pegged for 26 points, if indeed he makes the roster, but doing so was going to be tough.
