Draft Player Scratches (Feb 2)

On Tuesday night, it was the official restart of the NHL season after the All-Star Break and in San Jose, Sharks forward Logan Couture was not ready to restart his season, because of a bout of the flu.  Couture had taken the morning skate, but wasn't deemed physically fit enough to play, thus becoming a late scratch against the Coyotes.  The Sharks travel to Anaheim on Wednesday night to take on the Ducks and I would imagine that Couture will be a game-time decision for that one.

This bit of news doesn't have a large effect on the pool's prize race, but Clayton C. is trying to work his way out of the basement. Missing a player out on a big Sharks comeback against the Coyotes isn't how one makes a leap out of the basement, but you can say that's how he got in there in the first place.
