Heading Into the Final Weekend

Well, there's only three nights left of hockey before the end of the season. It's been pretty busy around the office and also getting everyone the Playoff Pool sheet, so the updates have been few and far between of late. It kind of sucks, really. And I'll tell ya what else sucks... no Canucks in the playoffs. That does suck.

Argh.

Anyways, we're heading into the weekend action and the Draft lead has been narrowed down to 9 points. How exciting. Here's a look at tonight's action between first and second place.

Johan Holmqvist

Clayton makes up a few extra games tonight with some pretty heavy hitters, but since Johan Holmqvist (Clayton) made his second start (and first win) for Dallas last night, it won't be likely that he'll draw the start to finish the home & home series against Phoenix. For Clayton, it will have to be tonight where he draws close to even, as Stuart will have more skater games remaining after tonight's matches.

On Saturday, Stuart will make up a few of those games that he's ahead...

Vincent Lecavalier

If Vincent Lecavalier (Stuart) could go for Tampa Bay, this could be a pretty big day for Stuart. The Buffalo Sabres had also been eliminated from the playoffs, so it's questionable whether or not they'll be hot enough to put up a lot of points.

On Sunday, the Red Wings will go for Stuart, which makes the lead a little safer, but Clayton does have a few more games going to finish the season.

Obviously, this won't be the time to have any cold players in the line-up, apparently with the $500 on the line for first place.
