On Tuesday, the Kings signed one of their brightest prospects, Oscar Moller to a 3-year entry level deal. The 19 year old Swede had a very productive season with the Chilliwack Bruins in the WHL, played two playoff games for the Machester Monarchs (the Kings' AHL affiliate) and should get a pretty good look in training camp this season with the big club.
Moller was a second round pick for the Kings last summer, which may be more attributed to his size, rather than his skill. For the mock draft last season, the Sherpa had Moller ranked in the first round at 24th, but eventually fell 28 more spots. The Kings may have themselves a bargain player here. There is a good chance that he'll be seasoned with at least another season at the lower level, but his speed could make him a good one to watch with the likes of Anze Kopitar in the line-up.
